Built in 1930 and designed by preeminent New York architect Emery Roth, the San Remo is located at 145 Central Park West, between 74th and 75th Streets.
The layouts of most of the Sam Remo’s 136 apartments are unusually spacious – even by the generous standards of the neighborhood – with many units more than 2,500 square feet and living rooms as big as 620 square feet. Ceilings range from 10 to 11 feet and lavish finishes are the norm. Since becoming a co-op in the 1970s, the apartments have all been outfitted with modern appliances and fixtures as well as thermal window glass.
San Remo amenities include a state-of-the-art health club, a bike room, a multi-purpose community room and private storage lockers. It is located close to Central Park, the shops and restaurants of the Upper West Side and such cultural attractions as the Museum of Natural History.

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.
By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
