Overview of Kheel Tower at 315 Seventh Avenue

The Kheel Tower is a distinguished 22-story prewar condominium located at the southeast corner of 28th Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea. Designed by William I. Hohauser in 1925 for Samuel Kheel, this former commercial building combines classic architectural features with modern conveniences.

The building’s elegant design includes a four-story white stone base, an arched entrance, angled setbacks, and vertical piers that emphasize its height and timeless appeal. Residents are greeted by a vaulted marble lobby and enjoy amenities such as a live-in superintendent, attentive staff, two passenger elevators, an attended freight elevator, and video security. Laundry facilities are available on multiple floors, and in-unit washer/dryers are permitted.

Perfectly positioned at the intersection of Flatiron and Hudson Yards, the Kheel Tower is surrounded by conveniences. It is across from the Fashion Institute of Technology, near Penn Station, subways, Madison Square Park, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and a variety of dining and cultural attractions, including The High Line and Broadway theaters.

The building is also investor-friendly, allowing six-month rentals with board approval, making it a flexible and attractive opportunity for residents and investors alike.

Carter’s Review

"In 1925, Samuel Kheel commissioned William I. Hohauser to design this 20-story commercial building at 315 Seventh Avenue on the southeast corner of 28th Street.

The building is now across the avenue from the Fashion Institute of Technology, which occupies much of both sides of 27th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. The city's Garment Center is located several blocks away, north of 34th Street."
