Overview of 101 Central Park West

101 Central Park West is a prestigious prewar cooperative on the Upper West Side, designed by Schwartz & Gross and completed in 1929. The 17-story red-brick building offers white-glove service, with full-time doormen, a concierge, a resident manager, and elevator operators. Known for its elegant two-stone limestone base and detailed architectural features, including handsome window surrounds and three-story stone pilasters, the building embodies timeless charm.

Apartments have wood-burning fireplaces, high ceilings, and Central Park views. Residents enjoy a range of amenities, such as a modern fitness center, a bike room, and personal storage bins. Located directly across from Central Park and just blocks from Lincoln Center, the location provides excellent access to culture and convenience, including prime viewing for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The cooperative board allows pets and reviews pied-à-terre use on a case-by-case basis, with financing permitted up to 50%.

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
