Carter’s Review

"This top half of this very attractive, mid-block, telephone company building at 435 West 50th Street has been converted to residential condominiums by JDS Development, Property Market Associates and Starwood Properties.

The 17-story building is known as Stella and is named after the wife of the building’s original architect, Ralph Thomas Walker, who also designed the similar Walker Tower at 212 West 18th Street in Chelsea whose top was also converted to residential condominiums by JDS Development and Property Market Associates.  The Walker Tower has 50 apartments and the Stella 51."
