Carter's Review
This rather startling, 7-story building at 1004 Gates Avenue between Ralph Avenue and Broadway in Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn was erected by the Loketch Group in 2017. According to an article by Michelle Mazzarella August 22, 2017, the building was designed by Ellipses Design.
It has 27 rental apartments.
It is one block from the Gates Avenue station of the J subway.
According to a September 24, 2015 article by Rebecca Baird-Remba at newyorkyimby.com, this building is an “expansion of two old tenements” that are losing their retail spaces. The article said that Moishe Loketch said that he was “transferring air rights from an adjacent property at 839 Monroe Street to give the project a boost in residential space.”
