Carter's Review
This attractive, 15-story, white-brick apartment building was erected in 1962. It is a cooperative and has 110 apartments.
The building has a 1-story, black polished granite entrance surround, extensive sidewalk landcaping with spiked planters, discrete air-conditioners, a canopied, five-step-down entrance, a roof deck, a large and glittery lobby, a doorman, and a garage. The building has no balconies and no health club.
It is across this quiet street from five, attractive 4-story townhouses that comprise the consulate of the Republic Yemen.
There are numerous pleasant restaurants in this charming Beekman Place area, which is adjacent to the United Nations complex.
There is good cross-town bus service on 49th and 50th Streets, but subways are not close.
