Carter's Review

This attractive, 5-story mixed-use building at 968 60th Street in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn is also bounded by Fort Hamilton Parkway and 61st Street.  It is known as The Hamilton.

It opened in 2016 and was erected by Halcyon Management, of which Lipa Friedman is a principal, and was designed by Karl Fisher.

It has 92 apartments and retail on the ground floor.

The developers got a variance to convert the handsome, three-story, red-brick factory formerly on the site in 2005 to residential use and according to March 15, 2016 article by Rebecca Baird-Remba at newyorkyimby.com demolished most of the factory and built the new structure on its foundations.

It is close to the Leif Erickson Park.
