Carter's Review
This attractive 12-story building is highlighted by full-floor condominium apartments accessed by a keyed elevator.
Although it was built in 2005, it looks as if it were a handsome pre-war apartment building with double-paned windows and a nice cornice.
Cavan Development was the developer and HLW the architect.
The narrow building is very close to Zabar s, the famous food store on Broadway at 80th Street and there is excellent public transportation at Broadway and 79th Street. It is also close to Riverside Park and the 79th Street marina and has a fine central Upper West Side location.
The building has an angled glass entrance marquee and a very pleasant lobby with mahogany entrance doors, slate floors and white onyx and pear wood walls.
Apartment ceilings are 9-foot-two-inches high and the units have individually controlled heating and cooling, video intercom, smart wiring and washers and dryers. Most of the units have gas fireplaces and most have some outdoor space.
Kitchens have pear wood cabinetry, Calacatta marble counters, Sub-zero refrigerators, Viking ranges, Bosch dishwashers. The garden duplex unit also has a GE Monogram wine cooler. Master bathrooms have pear wood vanities with Verde Rosa marble counters, Thassos polished marble floors and walls, six-foot Kohler soaking tubs, Toto and water closets.
The building has no garage.
