Carter's Review
This handsome, red-brick apartment building was erected as a condominium in 1986 and has 94 units.
The 19-story, mid-block building has a large marquee, a health club, a doorman and a two-story granite base. The building has attractive, black-metal balconies at its sides that are flush with the façade and nice air-conditioning grills.
It is one of the few buildings on this block, one of the city's nicest, that does not have sidewalk landscaping and seating. The east end of this quiet street faces Manhattan Square, the large park in which the American Museum of Natural History stands.
Its central Upper West Side location is very close to famous stores along Broadway and a delightful stretch of sidewalk cafés a few blocks north on Amsterdam Avenue.
There is very good public transportation and this area is convenient to the various amenities of the Lincoln Center District about a dozen blocks to the south.
The building has no garage.
