The 20-story building at 189 West 89th Street is known as the Sagamore and has a two-story limestone base the first floor of which is rusticated. It has 265 apartments.
The building has a doorman, a health club, a garage, a sundeck, a recreation room, a canopied entrance and video security and permits small dogs.
This area of the Upper West Side improved dramatically in the 1990's with many new restaurants and boutiques on this avenue and Columbus Avenue and Broadway.
There is excellent crosstown bus service on 86th Street and a subway station at 86th Street and Broadway. This location is midway between Central Park and Riverside Park.
