This handsome, 19-story, rental apartment building at 153 Remsen Street between Court and Clinton streets in Brooklyn Heights was erected in 2017 and has 60 apartments.
It was built by the Quinlan Development Group and Lonicera Partners.
It was designed by Navid Maqami of S9 Architecture and Engineering PC.
It is convenient to some subway lines.
Bottom Line
A substantial and very attractive, mid-block rental building in Brooklyn Heights with large layouts whose asymmetrical entrance surround is elegantly hinted at in the setbacks of its top floors and counter-balanced with a broad dark metal bandcourse above the third floor.
Description
The red-brick building has inset, multi-pane windows with dark metal spandrels and a broad dark metal bandcourse above the third floor.
The building is distinguished by its asymmetrical entrance surround whose asymmetry is very nicely picked up by the center façade of the building’s top setback several floors.

The building has a roof deck, a children’s playroom designed by Carmelo the Science Fellow, an attended lobby, a full-time doorman, and a fitness center.
