Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley

Carter's Review

30 Clinton Street is a classic, pre-war building in Brooklyn Heights. A variety of studio and one bedroom apartments comprise the layouts, with some sensible unit combinations. There are marble floors in the hallway, and original picture-frame moldings still adorn the walls in the units where they’ve been preserved. While only 6 stories, it has a beautifully preserved elevator with thoroughly modern mechanicals. There is card-operated laundry in the basement, and storage is available for a nominal annual fee (waiting list applies). There is also a locked bike room.

One United Nations Park is an unprecedented interplay of privacy and light—a balance that reflects the architecture’s bold exterior and luminous interiors.
