Carter's Review
This 8-story apartment house was converted to a cooperative in 1987 and has 32 units.
The façade of this brown-brick building is enlivened by white window reveals and a white marble entrance surround. The building, which permits protruding air-conditioners, has no garage, no sidewalk landscaping, no health club and no balconies.
It has a prime location in the very desirable Carnegie Hill neighborhood. It is half a block from Central Park and close to several private schools and religious institutions as well as several major cultural institutions including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum that is at the west end of this pleasant and quiet block.
A supermarket is a block away and there is excellent bus service as well as convenient neighborhood shopping. There is an express subway station at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue.
