Carter's Review
This handsome, 9-story, white-brick, apartment building was erected in 1912. It is a cooperative with 34 apartments.
The building has some nice terracotta façade decoration, a canopied entrance flanked by granite columns and wall lanterns. It has three band-courses, a doorman, sidewalk landscaping, inconsistent fenestration, protruding air-conditioners, no balconies, no garage and no health club.
There is good local shopping in the vicinity and there is express subway station at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th and 86th Streets.
