Carter's Review
This handsome, 9-story, apartment building was erected in 1929 and is a cooperative with 46 units.
The brown-brick, mid-block building has a canopied, one-step-up entrance flanked by wall lanterns and an attractive foliate entrance surround. It has a part-time doorman, protruding air-conditioners, and consistent fenestration. It has no sidewalk landscaping, no terraces, no balconies, no health club, no garage and no roof deck.
It is very close to the 92nd Street "Y," one of the city's leading cultural institutions and there are several fine private schools and some religious institutions in this area.
There is an express subway station several blocks away at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street but there is excellent cross-town bus service on 86th Street. The area has good local shopping.
