Carter's Review
This 5-story, apartment building was erected in 1900 and converted to a cooperative in 1987. It has 47 units.
The beige-brick, mid-block building has a six-step-up entrance and a six-step-up lobby. It has fire-escapes, protruding air-conditioners, and consistent fenestration. It has no terraces, no balconies, no health club, no garage, no sidewalk landscaping and no roof deck.
It is very close to the 92nd Street "Y," one of the city's leading cultural institutions and there are several fine private schools and some religious institutions in this area.
There is an express subway station several blocks away at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street but there is excellent cross-town bus service on 86th Street. The area has good local shopping.
