Carter's Review
This attractive, midblock apartment house was built in 1916 and converted to a cooperative in 1982.
The 14-story structure has 41 apartments.
The building has a fine location that is very convenient to public transportation, neighborhood shopping, several major museums, several private schools and several religious institutions.
The apartment house's canopied entrance has a two-story limestone surround and the façade has some decorative spandrels with geometric designs and consistent fenestration and sidewalk landscaping. The windows are recessed in the façade, which provides more visual interest. The building, which has a couple of bandcourses, has a small lobby and a doorman and it permits protruding air-conditioners.
