Carter's Review
This interesting, rather ornate, midblock apartment house was erected in 1920 and converted to a cooperative in 1987.
It is distinguished by its very handsome, large decorative balconies which were designed with overlapping circles, and an ornate roofline with two small peaks and garland-like bas-reliefs.
The 12-story building has only 30 apartments.
The beige-brick building has a fine location that is very convenient to public transportation, neighborhood shopping, several major museums, several private schools and several religious institutions.
The building has a canopied entrance beneath a wrought-iron balcony and a two-story limestone base. It has a small lobby with a concierge and sidewalk landscaping. It permits protruding air-conditioners and has no garage.
