Comment About the Building

Grand old style rooms, slightly stodgy vibe overall, has a nice/rodent issue on lower floors, two residents I know who live here (owners, in different residences) say weekday doorman is rude, slow, disrespectful to visitors and belittling to service help who routinely visit (won’t promptly take them up on elevator, makes them wait for 5-10mins for no reason other than a power play, makes excuses, even says inappropriate remarks to women) and teaches young doormen to act the same. They should not be bringing up “help“ and overnight guests staying there via the service elevator, especially when before Covid they regularly used the main (more reliable) lift and policy has not permanently changed. Will not consider this as a serious candidate for purchase when old school class issues are creating a hostile, unfriendly environment and rodent problem isn’t addressed.
