Carter's Review
This beige-brick, mid-block apartment building was originally erected as a warehouse in 1928 and was converted to a condominium several decades later. It has 45 apartments.
The 10-story building has a canopied entrance with a doorman, a two-story limestone base and discrete air-conditioners. It has no health club, no balconies, no sidewalk landscaping and no garage. It is across the street from the handsome, Art Deco-style Alan Garage and several buildings to the west of the Doyle auction house.
This is a very lively section of the Upper East Side with excellent local shopping and public transportation. There is an express subway station at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street where there is also excellent cross-town bus service. There is a superb gourmet food store just around the corner.
Located in the heart of the Carnegie Hill neighborhood, this building is close to many leading private schools, important cultural institutions, numerous religious institutions, and excellent local shopping.
