Carter's Review
This quite attractive, 6-story, mid-block building was erected in 1899 and is a condominium with 29 apartments.
It has a prime Carnegie Hill location across from some very impressive limestone mansions and just to the east of the large and handsome through-block plaza of the luxury apartment building at 40 East 94th Street.
The 92nd Street "Y," one of the city's leading cultural centers, is nearby on Lexington Avenue and this area has many private schools and religious institutions. There is good public transportation nearby on 96th Street. There are numerous restaurants and food stores along Madison Avenue and Central Park is only a block-and-a-half away.
The beige-brick building has a very impressive portico entrance with its name emblazoned on the portico and a three-step-up vestibule. It has no doorman, no garage, no health club, and fire escapes.
