The Queenston, 16 East 96th Street

Co-op located in Carnegie Hill, at The Southwest corner of Madison Avenue

Comment About the Building

Many of the apartments have been made contemporary by taking out the maid`s room and creating a larger living room. Most of the apartments are two bedroom with the exception of one very large combined apt. The building is at the corner of Madison Avenue and 96th Street. On 96th Street there is a crosstown bus and the subway is on Lexington and 96th Street, a two block walk. Restaurants include Vico at 92nd and Madison and Sachi on Madison and 94th. The building lobby has pillars and open space. There is no doorman but an efficient buzzer system. The building is very well maintained. The Board is somewhat divided between those who wish to keep the building as it is with low maintenances and those who wish to upgrade the building, having a doorman and other improvements.
