Carter's Review
This handsome, 9-story, mid-block apartment building was erected in 1926 and is a cooperative with 30 apartments.
This red-brick building has an attractive, canopied entrance with an arched limestone entrance surround with nice wrought-iron entrance doors, sidewalk landscaping, protruding air-conditioners and inconsistent fenestration. It has a part-time doorman, no garage, no balconies, and no health club. It is close to the very attractive All Souls Church on Lexington Avenue.
There is excellent local shopping and good cross-town bus service on 79th Street. Lenox Hill hospital is three blocks to the south on Lexington Avenue where there is also a subway station. Some of the city's finest mansions are across the avenue on 80th Street.
