Carter's Review

This attractive, 16-story building at 410 Central Park West on the southwest corner at 101st Street was erected in 1928 and has 97 co-operative apartments. It was converted in 1983 and is known as Edith Apartments.

It was designed by Margon & Holder, whose other buildings include 400 West End Avenue, 200 West 86th Street and 965 Fifth Avenue.

Bottom Line

A pleasant, pre-war co-op building with 97 apartments and a full-time doorman on Central Park West at 101st Street.

Description

The beige brick building has a canopied entrance with rosettes above the second floor and an attractive band course above the third floor.

It has sidewalk landscaping and inconsistent fenestration.

Penthouse B is a one-bedroom unit with a 7-foot-wide entry foyer that leads to a 17-foot-wide living room with an open, 14-foot-wide kitchen with an island.  The unit has a 38-foot-long terrace that wraps around the living room to a 41-foot-long terrace and also wraps around the bedroom to a 21-foot-long terrace.

Apartment 5B is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer across from the open, eat-in, windowed kitchen with an island that leads to the 23-foot-long living room.

Apartment 11E is a one-bedroom unit with a 9-foot-long entry foyer across from a 7-foot-long kitchen with an 8-foot-long dining alcove adjacent to the 19-foot-long living room.

Apartment 8D is a one-bedroom unit with a 7-foot-long entry foyer that leads to a 21-foot-long eat-in, windowed kitchen and a 19-foot-long living room.

Apartment 17F is a one-bedroom unit with a 9-foot-long entry foyer that leads to a 19-foot-long living room with an open kitchen.
