142 West 26th Street is a pre-war cooperative located in eastern Chelsea between Sixth and Seventh avenues, close to NoMad. The converted loft building dates to the start of the twentieth century and sports a brick façade with Renaissance detailing, well-matched with its historic neighbors. Without exaggeration, 142 West 26th Street sits within one of the most centrally-located areas in all of Manhattan. Madison Square Park is situated two blocks to the east, and the up-and-coming NoMad neighborhood stretches next door (it may be argued that 142 West 26th Street itself sits within NoMad). A few blocks to the northeast, Koreatown’s shopping streets bustle with round-the-clock activity, as do the nearby Herald Square (with the Macy’s department store) and the Penn Station area. Western Chelsea and Hudson Yards, both featuring the High Line, the Hudson River promenade, and delightful shopping, dinning, and art galleries, sit to the west. The 28th Street Station of the 7 train is located around the corner.
