This 5-story building at 253 West 28th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in Chelsea dates to 1896 and has several residential condominium apartments above a nightclub space. 

The building is across the street from the Fashion Institute of Technology, near a subway station and a few blocks south of Penn Station. 

It has three residential units.

This small building in the heart of Chelsea is convenient to the High Line Elevated Park and Penn Station and has only three residential units.

Apartments have 10 1/2 –foot-high ceilings. 

The fourth floor unit has a 16-foot-wide entry foyer that opens in to a 35-foot-long office/living space, 10-foot-long office, a 45-foot-wide curved entertainment space, a 14-foot-wide media boom, a 13-foot-long open kitchen, a 45-foot-long living/dining room and two bedrooms.

History

The building was built as a stable and wagon storage facility and changed to light manufacturing and furrier use in the 1930s and was left vacant in the mid-1970s. It was converted to a co-operative in 1979 and subsequently the first floor and cellar was sold to a nightclub and the second and fifth floors were sold to photographers, the third floor was sold to an artist and the fourth floor was sold to an attorney.
