Carter's Review

Sales started in the summer of 2007 at the Paper Factory building at 52 West 22nd Street in Chelsea.

The attractive, 6-story, Italianate-style building was erected in 1851 and was converted to five residential condominiums by Metro Builders LLC of which Frank Porco is a partner.

Arpad Baksa was the architect for the conversion.

The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath duplex penthouse was priced initially at $1,995,000 and it has two private decks and 1,557 square feet of space.

Apartment 2 has 1,587 square feet and was priced at $1,895,000. It has 11-foot-high ceilings.

Apartment 1 has 1,849 square feet and was priced at $1,795,000. It has 12-foot-high ceilings.

Apartment 3 has 1,472 square feet and was priced at $1,695,000. It has 11-foot-high ceilings.

Apartment 4 has 1,256 square feet and was priced at $1,395,000. It has 11-foot-high ceilings.

All apartments have outdoor space, Bosch stacked washers/dryers, private keyed elevator access, video intercom systems, central air, private basement storage, Viking and Bosch kitchen appliances, and bathrooms have Starck toilets, Duravit sinks and Zuma tubs.

The building has a very good, central Chelsea location and convenient public transportation.
