Carter's Review

This two-tone gray brick, low-rise, mid-block building at 27 Quincy Street between Downing Street and Classon Avenue in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn was erected in 1931 and renovated in 2010 by Urcasi, LLC.

It has 16 condominium apartments.

Bottom Line

A pleasant and modest mid-block renovation in Clinton Hill.

Description

The building has a symmetrical front façade with a light-grey center section flanked by darker gray sections that have attractive balconies with light-colored metal railings.

The center of the top floor is recessed.

The building has an entrance marquee.

The building has six levels with the side sections having a double-height window at the second level.

The building has a roof deck and a bicycle room.

Apartments

Apartments have mocca-stained oak floors and washer-dryer hook-ups.  Kitchens have granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Apartment 2B is a duplex two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer on the lower level opposite an 8-foot-wide open, pass-through and a 20-foot-long living room and a staircase to the upper level with a 10-foot-wide home-office/den.

Apartment 1A is a one-bedroom unit with a double-height living room with an open kitchen with an island and a 22-foot-wide patio and a home office.  The unit also has a 26-foot-long roof cabana.

Apartment 3B is a one-bedroom unit with 800 square feet and a 23-foot-long living room with an open, pass-through kitchen and a 6-foot-wide laundry room.
