Carter's Review

This handsome, 8-story, red-brick apartment building at 570 St. John's Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was erected in 2018 by Heritage Partners, which is headed by Toby Moscovitz.

The mid-block building, which is known as The Frederick and also as The Olmstead, was designed by Karl Fischer and has 193 rental apartments.

Heritage acquired the property in 2014 for $24 million from the Rabsky Group.  An
August 2, 2017 article on the site at Cityrealty.com said that "it appears the design has been dramatically altered, evolving from an oversized French chateau to a mighty faux-factory building," adding that it "flaunts in intricate brick skin punctuated by operable casement windows" and that "two sections...crenulate with pairs of bay windows."

The building is close to the Brooklyn Museum and two blocks from the 2, 3, 4 and 5 subway lines.
