Carter's Review
A 6-story former piano factory was doubled in height to create 37 residential condominium apartments at 96 Rockwell Place in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn in 2007.
Franke, Gottsegen, Cox was the architectural firm involved in the project for 96 Rockwell LLC of which Joshua Landau is a principal.
The apartments are studios and one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
The building, which has some balconies, extends through the block to 55 Flatbush Avenue.
It has 10- to 12-foot ceilings, wide-plank flooring, crown moldings and large windows and washers and dryers.
It is close to the Brooklyn Academy of Music and very convenient to many subway lines.
It has a part-time doorman and a gym and a bicycle room and private storage.
