Carter's Review

This attractive, 8-story building at 1919 Madison Avenue between 123rd and 124th Streets in East Harlem was erected in 1997 and has 155 co-operative apartments. 

It is across the avenue from Mount Morris Park and across 124th Street from the New York Podiatric Hospital.  It is two blocks from the 125th Street station of the Metro North line.

Bottom Line

A large and handsome mid-rise building with many balconies and attractive landscaping across Madison Avenue from Mount Morris Park.

Description

This large, U-shaped building occupied a blockfront on the avenue across from Mount Morris Park.  

Its center section is red-brick and its ends are white-brick with red-brick banding. 

The building has many balconies and many of its ground floor apartments have patios. 

It has discrete air-conditioners and a long entrance canopy flanked by sidewalk landscaping. 

It has a large rear courtyard that is lushly landscaped.

Building amenities include 24-hour security, ground floor central laundry, newly updated common hallways, recreation and play rooms, on-site parking, storage, a bike room, fitness center and a common courtyard.

Apartment 408 is a three-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living/dining room and a balcony and a 12-foot-wide kitchenette. 

Apartment 423 is a two-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living/dining room with an 11-foot-wide balcony and an 11-foot-wide kitchen with a breakfast bar. 

Apartment 101 is a one-bedroom unit with a 19-foot-long living/dining room with a 10-foot-wide open kitchen with a breakfast bar and a 11-foot-long patio. 

Apartment 102 is a two-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living/dining room with a 12-foot-wide kitchenette with a breakfast bar.
