Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Dec 23, 2011

Carter's Review

Marketing began in the Spring of 2007 for the 8-story residential condominium building at 209 East 2nd Street on the southeast corner at Avenue B one block north of East Houston Street.

The building is 19 feet-10-inches deep and 80 feet long.

It has 6 floor-through apartments that are priced from about $1,650,000 to $1,950,000.

Each apartment has a wood-burning fireplace, keyed elevator access, and a 33-foot-long living room with exposed brick walls and 16-inch deep, solid white oak window sills with seats.

Kitchens have white oak Maistri cabinets, gray quartz counters, GE Monogram dual fuel stoves, and Subzero refrigerators. Bathrooms have Zuma whirlpool/airbath tubs, Duravit toilets, Robern built-in medicine cabinets and Velleroy & Boch over the counter lavatory and limestone wall tiles.

Alexander Neratoff is the architect for the project that was being developed by Manachem Haimovich.

Initial pricing ranged from about $1,620,000 to about $1,995,000.
