Carter's Review
One Avenue B is a 24-unit residential condominium building on the northeast corner of East Houston Street in the East Village.
The building has a doorman, storage units, a roof deck, a bicycle room, floor-to-ceiling windows, a gym with a Pilates/yoga studio and a lobby that includes gallery space for art exhibits.
It has studio and one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 456 to 1,252 square feet.
Apartments have Brazilian cherry-wood floors, a washer/dryer and gourmet kitchens in all units, refrigerators with touch-screen LCD panels that control TV, Internet and radio, and bathrooms have slate floors and oversized soaking tubs.
The 8-story building, which has some balconies, was developed by LargaVista Companies on a site that had been owned by Robert Porcelli, who was the owner of the Gasteria gas station that formerly occupied the small, triangular lot.
It has been designed by Marin Nanca Architects.
