"The plain, Art Deco-style, 35-story office building at 116 John Street in the Financial District was erected in 1931 and designed by Charles Glaser and Louis Allen Abramson.  In 2015, Metro Loft Management began converting it to 418 rental apartments and the architect for the conversion was Avinash Malhotra.

The building, which is also known as 1 Platt Street and 225-235 Pearl Street,The plain, Art Deco-style, 35-story office building at 116 John Street in the Financial District was erected in 1931 and designed by Charles Glaser and Louis Allen Abramson.  In 2015, Metro Loft Management began converting it to 418 rental apartments and the architect for the conversion was Avinash Malhotra."
