90 West Street

Doorman No fee rental located in Financial District, between Cedar Street & Albany Street

Overview of 90 West Street

90 West Street is a beautiful pre-war, full-service building. All apartments feature bamboo floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and custom cabinets. Building amenities include 24-hour doorman, elevators, resident lounge, billiards room, laundry room on every other floor, and a fitness center.

Originally completed in 1907, architect Cass Gilbert used Gothic-inspiration to create a skyscraper with imposing gargoyles, pointed arches, and a distinguishing mansard roof. One hundred years later in 2007, after meticulous reconstruction, 90 West Street was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In recognition, it has been granted high honors from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and New York's Landmark Conservancy.

Each one of the 410 apartments is stylishly appointed with fresh bamboo floors, handsome stone countertops, and bathrooms dressed in fine Italian tile and marble. With views of the Hudson River or the lights of lower Manhattan, you have your choice of an array of unique and spacious apartments. Many of our larger apartments feature private washer & dryers.

Soaring ceilings, crisp clean lines, and contemporary details fuse the elegance of the past with the energy of the future in the heart of New York City.

Carter’s Review

"This architectural masterpiece at 90 West Street in Lower Manhattan was designed by Cass Gilbert in 1907, several years before he designed the magnificent Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway.

Both buildings have façades of white terracotta with Gothic styling, although this building sports a mansard roof. In 1998, the building's exterior was designated an architectural landmark by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission."

Broker & Resident Comments

This "historic gem" near the World Trade Center Memorial offers "breathtaking Hudson River views" from its "pre-Woolworth era" architecture featuring "soaring ceilings" and "bamboo floors." The "prime Financial District location" provides easy access to transit and downtown attractions, while building amenities include a "cozy gym" and resident lounge. While some cite "construction noise" as an issue, the "thick windows" help buffer sound, and the "attentive doormen" earn consistent praise. The building's proximity to Brookfield Place and major subway lines makes it "incredibly convenient" for downtown living.
