Carter’s Review

"This 30-story tower at 102-10 66th Street in Forest Hills was erected in 1964 and has 498 co-operative apartments.  It is one of three towers in the Birchwood Towers complex that was designed by Samuel Paul and Seymour Jarmul.  It is known as The Toledo and it and the Kyoto are both 30 stories tall.  The third tower, the Bel Air, which is located at 66-36 Yellowstone Boulevard, is 28 stories.

Mauri Jaffee of Briar House Interiors Ltd., and Robert Rickenback designed the lobbies.  The Toledo has a Spanish-style balcony with arched windows.  The Kyoto has a Japanese-style foot-bridge. The Bel Air has a grand curved and very ornate staircase."
