Carter's Review

The Argyle is an attractive, mid-block 12-story residential condominium at 251 Seventh Street in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn.

It was designed by Meltzer/Mandel Architects, P.C., and developer by Wheaton Associates of which Fredric Oliver and Stephen Levine are principals.

It is distinguished by its tall windows and its very distinctive top that has balconies on one side and some very deep bay windows on another side.

The building, which is also known as 410 Fourth Avenue, has 59 apartments with wide plank maple floors and ceiling heights up to 9 feet 2 inches.

It has a landscaped roofdeck, a 24-hour virtual concierge, a garage, a fitness center, Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances, quartzite countertops, bamboo kitchen cabinetry, individual storage units, discrete air-conditioners and washers and dryers.

The building has an angled glass entrance marquee that is flanked by lighting sconces and the lobby has a "woven" wall.
