This 21-story, white-brick building contains 326 cooperative apartments and was erected in 1964 at 205 Third Avenue between 18th and 19th streets near Gramercy Park.
It is known as Gramercy Park Towers.
It was developed by Birchwood and designed by Samuel Paul and Seymour Jarmul.
It was converted to a cooperative in 1981.
Bottom Line
Gramercy Park Towers is a full-service apartment building with a dramatic entrance and very handsome sidewalk landscaping close to Gramercy Park.
Description
The building has a very large entrance marquee that curves upward and extends almost to the curb.
It also has very attractive dark, angled planters for its lush sidewalk landscaping.
The building occupies the east blockfront on the avenue between 18th and 19th Streets and its north and south wings have brown spandrels, while the center of the building is set back a bit and has a slightly protruding balcony section.

The building has a 24-hour doorman, a concierge, a live-in superintendent, a bicycle room, cold storage, a fitness center, a landscaped roof deck and courtyard and a garage.

Apartments range in size from studios to two-bedrooms.
