Carter's Review
This 6-story building at 362 West 127th Street between St. Nicholas Terrace and Convent Avenue in Harlem was erected in 2016 by Howard Mermelstein, the co-chairman of 127 Holdings LLC of Brooklyn.
The mid-block building has 14 condominium apartments.
It was designed by Jock Deboer Architecture PLL of Staten Island.
According to an October 23, 2014 article by Jessica Dailey at ny.curbed.com, the building’s lot “sat empty for decades” and was once one of the middle lots of a very handsome group of row houses.
Bottom Line
A fairly modern, grey-brick, mid-block building that is notable for showing no contextual deference to its very handsome light-orange-brick neighbors on both sides with twin peaked rooflines, stoops and some arched windows.
Description
The building’s bland façade has two shades of gray and a setback top floor.
It has no sidewalk landscaping.
Amenities
The building has a virtual doorman, a roof deck, bicycle storage, storage, an off-site superintendent and is pet friendly.
