Carter's Review

This very handsome, 7-story building at 100 West 119th Street at Lenox Avenue in Harlem was erected in 1900 and converted by 167-177 Lenox LLC in 2004 to 25 condominium apartments. 

It is known as The Normandie. 

It is close to Mount Morris Park and not far from a subway station.

Bottom Line

A very handsome mid-rise on 119th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem with nice decorative detailing, large apartments and some fireplaces.

Description

This distinguished and very attractive, 7-story building in Harlem has an handsome, two-story rusticated terracotta base and a grey brick façade with considerable decorative detailing, a nice curved corner with bay windows and a nice cornice. 

The building two sets of fire-escapes and a glass entrance marquee on the side-street. 

It has bandcourses above the second, third and sixth floors.

Amenities

The building has a full-time doorman, a gym, a roof terrace, central air-conditioning, a children's playroom, storage and a bicycle room.  Pets are allowed.

Apartments

Apartments have fireplaces, crown moldings and washers and dryers. 

Penthouse 7D is a three-bedroom unit with and long entry foyer that leads to a 21-foot-wide living/dining room next to an enclosed, 14-foot-long kitchen. 

Apartment 6A is a four-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living/dining room with a fireplace next to a 14-foot-long, enclosed kitchen. 

Apartment 5B is a four-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads past an enclosed and windowed 17-foot-long kitchen to a 28-foot-long living/dining room with a fireplace. 

Apartment 2B is a four-bedroom unit with an entry foyer adjacent to a 15-foot-long, enclosed and windowed kitchen that leads to a 27-foot-long living/dining room with a fireplace. 

Apartment 4C is a three-bedroom unit with an 18-foot-long entry foyer that leads down a long hall to a 16-foot-wide living room with a curved bay window and a fireplace, an enclosed 11-foot-wide, windowed kitchen and a 11-foot-wide den.
