Carter's Review
This very attractive, mid-block, 8-story, modern, residential condominium building at 313 West 121st Street just west of the Frederick Douglas Boulevard in Harlem was completed in 2019 and has 6 apartments. It is known as The Vidro. "Vidro" means "glass" in Portuguese.
It was designed by Soluri Architecture and developed by Brittban Realty, which is headed by a long-time resident of the neighborhood who bought the lot in 1999.
The building won the "most innovative New York condominium Design" award from the 2016 Architecture Award Series of BUILD Magazine and was a finalist in the 2019 NYCcDesign Awards in the "exterior building" category. Soluri also designed the Soma Condominium at 116 West 22nd Street.
This building is a block from Morningside Park.
