Carter's Review
This very attractive, 21-story, red-brick building was erected by Cohen Bros. in 1960 and converted to a cooperative in 1980. It has 118 units.
The building has a fine, central Upper East Side location, a canopied entrance with a three-step-down vestibule, a doorman, a two-story polished gray granite base with a one-story polished black granite entrance surround that is nicely sculpted, corner bay windows, white window reveals, a garage, consistent fenestration, sidewalk landscaping and discrete air-conditioners. It has no health club and no balconies.
There are numerous elegant restaurants in the area and excellent local shopping nearby on Third Avenue. There is a subway station at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street where Lenox Hill Hospital is also located and there is good cross-town bus service on 72nd Street.
