Carter's Review

This attractive, 7-story, mid-block residential building at 337 East 62nd Street between Second and First Avenues was erected in 2015 by Yeung Real Estate Development.

Peter Poons is the architect for the building that has 22 condominium apartments.

Bottom Line

A mid-block jumble of colors and façade treatments amidst many glass-railed balconies not too far from Bloomingdale’s and the also colorful Roosevelt Island tram.

Description

The western bay of the building is setback and it and the three middle bays are faced with brown metal panels and the eastern bay is faced with gray brick.

The top floor is setback and its façade slightly undulates and it is faced with blue-gray glass.

The units on the front of the building have glass-railed balconies and the building’s entrance is recessed.

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour doorman, a roof deck with outdoor shower and kitchen, a bicycle room and storage.

Apartments

Apartments have rainshowers, white oak floors and Poggenpohl kitchens with Miele appliances.

Most units have outdoor space.

Penthouse B is a two-bedroom unit with a 26-foot-wide great room with an open kitchen and a 37-foot-long wide terrace with an undulating wall of windows and doors and a 27-foot-long rear terrace.

Penthouse A is a two-bedroom unit with a 27-foot-wide great room with an open kitchen and a 26-foot-long terrace with an undulating wall of windows and doors and the unit has a 37-foot-long rear terrace.

Apartment 1B is a three-bedroom unit with a 35-foot-long great rom with an open kitchen, a real 32-foot-wide terrace and a front 21-foot-wide patio.

Apartment 3B is a two-bedroom unit with a 26-foot-long great room with an open kitchen and the unit has three front balconies.

Apartment D on the 3rd through the 5th floors is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads past an open, pass-through kitchen to an 18-foot-long living room with a 16-foot-wide balcony.

Apartment B on the 4th and 5th floors is a one-bedroom unit with a 26-foot-long great room with an open kitchen and two narrow balconies.
