Overview of 360 East 72nd Street

360 East 72nd Street is a sizeable 35-story cooperative building on the Upper East Side, originally built in 1963 and converted to a co-op in 1971. In 2007, the building's white-brick façade was reclad in red brick, bringing it a more classic appeal. It occupies a full blockfront along First Avenue, with a redesigned entrance featuring an impressive glass and bronze marquee and a refined lobby that reflects the area's improved residential character.

With 455 units, this full-service co-op offers a range of amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, a state-of-the-art fitness center open 24/7, a shareholders' lounge, a playroom, and a landscaped roof deck on the 18th floor. For added convenience, the building provides a storage room, bike room, package room, and a garage with low monthly rates for shareholders.

Located just one block from the former Sotheby’s headquarters and near the renowned York Avenue hospital corridor, residents enjoy proximity to some of the Upper East Side’s best restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation. Monthly maintenance is reasonable and includes gas, heat, and electricity.

Pet-friendly and welcoming to pied-à-terres and guarantors, 360 East 72nd Street provides a prime location and excellent financials, making it an exceptional choice for Upper East Side living.

Carter’s Review

"One of the earliest of the postwar supertowers on the Upper East Side, this 35-story apartment building was erected in 1963 and converted to a cooperative in 1971.

The occupies the full blockfront along First Avenue and in the late 1990's its entrance was redesigned. Its new, imposing and impressive large glass and bronze marquee and handsomely appointed lobby reflect the area's dramatically improved residential character since the building was completed."

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
