Carter's Review
This handsome, 17-story, red-brick building has 110 rental apartments.
The building has several setbacks that provide numerous terraces and apartments have 10-foot-high, beamed ceilings and solid plank cheery flooring and baseboards, hand-rubbed soapstone kitchen counter, backsplashes and window sills, curly maple kitchen cabinets, and honed green slate kitchen flooring.
There are laundry facilities on floors four to eight and many of the larger apartments have their own washer and dryer.
The building has a concierge, resident manager, a fitness center, a game room and conference facilities. It has high-speed Internet access, a centrex intercom system, central heating and cooling and a water filtration system.
The ground floor has large arches capped by bas-relief cameos and the entrance has a sculpture by Albert Paley, electronic sliding doors and the lobby has a coffered ceiling accented by Adam Tihany sconces.
It is convenient to Rockefeller University, the Queensborough Bridge and the FDR Drive and close to East Midtown. There is excellent shopping and many restaurants nearby.
