Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley

Carter's Review

This attractive white-brick rental building at 245 East 63rd Street contains 529 rental apartments and was erected by Carlyle Construction Corporation in 1965.

The 35-story tower, which is known as Regency Towers, has four setbacks that provide some terraces and angled windows and it has balconies in its base.

The building has a concierge, a doorman, a garage, discrete air-conditioners, and does not permit dogs.

This lively and desirable neighborhood has changed dramatically since the building opened with many of the city's most spectacular luxury apartment buildings sprouting nearby, especially on Third Avenue.

The area has many boutiques and restaurants and is a short walk to east midtown.

There is heavy traffic on Second Avenue going to the Queensborough Bridge at 59th Street and the nearest subway stations are several blocks away.

The building is also known as 1201 Second Avenue and 234 East 64th Street.
