The Larrimore, 444 East 75th Street: Review and Ratings

at The Southwest corner of York Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 444 East 75th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 20-story, building was erected in 1964 and was converted to a cooperative in 1984. It has 155 units.

The red-brick building has its canopied entrance with a one-story white marble and black polished granite base on York Avenue.

The building which is three blocks north of Sotheby's, the auction house, on the avenue, has a doorman and sidewalk landscaping, but no garage, no balconies and ho health club.

There is good cross-town bus service on 79th and 72nd Streets but the site is not convenient to the subways. There are numerous good restaurants nearby and good local shopping nearby on First Avenue.
