Carter’s Review

"This 13-story, twin-building development, which is known as the Royal York, was built in two parts: the 425 East 63rd Street structure was built in 1956 and the 420 East 64th Street structure was built in 1959.

Greenberg & Ames was the architectural firm for the 494-unit project that was developed by Beloff-York Associates."

Broker & Buyer Comments

The lobby is being renovated in a few weeks. There is a small, but good gym downstairs. There is also storage. The laundry room is huge. There is a lovely courtyard between 425 and 420 which is beautiful to sit out in.

420 E 64th is under the same board as 425 E 63rd. It is a condop board of which my mother is the president. My father was also the president for many years. Because it is a condop, no one is rejected unless they are a criminal, do not pay their taxes, do not have their finances in reasonable order.

It is an amazing neighborhood that is only getting better. Having lived in the building for 23 years, I have seen the neighborhood change a lot. While on the Upper East Side, it is minutes from the best of midtown including Bloomingdales. There are tons of stores on Third Avenue, which is a 5 minutes walk from the building. There is a Bed Bath & Beyond two blocks away, in addition to tons of restaurants. It is also a short walk from the NRW, 456, & F trains. Going North, where is only access to the 6, there are so many subways, to get anywhere you never need to transfer.
They refused to return my REFUNDABLE moving out deposit for no reason.
I have been waiting for more than 3 months.
