Carter's Review
This 35-story, 355-unit, rental apartment tower was erected in 1980 by Glenwood Management, one of the city's leading developers of luxury apartment buildings.
It was remodeled in 1996 and has a free health club, a doorman, a bicycle room, storage space, a children's room, a garage, a sundeck, a private garden, video security and valet service. The building, which has no setbacks, allows no pets and has 10 apartments per floor.
Since its construction, this neighborhood has witnessed a boom in new rental buildings that has cut-off some of the dramatic views of midtown, Central Park and the Hudson River at this location.
The building is close to the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and many fine stores and restaurants and not far from subway stations and bus lines.
There is considerable nightlife in the area as well as congestion from traffic.
The building, which is called The Regent, is at 45 West 60th Street and is also known as 40 East 61st Street and 21 Columbus Avenue.
