Carter's Review
This very handsome, 11-story building was erected in 2015 by the Gershon Company at 22-22 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.
It has 175 rental apartments and was designed by ODA Architects.Bottom Line
A strongly sculpted mid-rise building with an exposed concrete façade that is the city's best reincarnation of Brutalist architecture, a short-lived and much underappreciated style.
Description
The cast concrete building has an exposed concrete façade with an irregular pattern of recessions that give the building a push-pull aesthetic that is very strong and interesting.
It has a two-story lobby and a landscaped courtyard.Amenities
This building has a doorman, a roof deck, a gym with a swimming pool, parking, a bicycle room and storage.
